DRILLING TOOLS – We have the solution.

Made in Germany by the industry pioneer

In Germany and other European countries, our Zimmerman DTH hammer range has proven itself against almost all other drill equipment on the market over 30.000 times.

For more than 50 years, we have been patenting new types of hammers that are used in wide-ranging applications. Zimmermann down-the-hole hammers represent the very latest design in compressed air-powered DTH hammers.

With daily use, you will be won over by the peak performance coupled with the lowest possible consumption of compressed air, as well as by the unrivalled durability of our drilling tools.  We set a high standard, thanks to the care taken during production in Bad Oeynhausen (NRW) and the high-quality raw materials selected according to European standards.

The key factors that we use to evaluate our products are high impact frequency and high impact energy – We are proud to exceed, rather than meet, these requirements.

The requirements are as varied as they are challenging: hard rocks, damp soil, horizontal and vertical drilling methods – These present no problem for our drills, produced using underwater-safe and wear-resistant materials.

Long life and low-maintenance

Our range of DTH hammers operate using very low air pressure and require little maintenance. Their long life is due to the wear-resistant material used in their production.

One of our various types of DTH hammer is certain to be a perfect fit for your requirements: whether you are drilling water wells or geothermal wells, installing guardrails or carrying out rock consolidation against avalanches and rockfalls, drilling hard rock for blast holes, or conducting bioengineering surveys.

Drill bits - quick change in no time

Of course, the straightforward repair and maintenance of our rotary hammers requires the fastest possible replacement of bits. With our drill bits, this can be done in a few simple steps, without the need for the hammer to be removed from the drill.

For our Zimmermann hammer range, it is possible to order customized drill bits up to 230 mm in diameter.

DRILL RODS

Accessories: DRILL RODS AND THREADS

We supply drill rods and threads for all common rotary drill hammers, made of high-alloyed steel and case-hardened - manufactured according to the customer‘s requirements.

The smooth-surface precision tubes and the hardened fittings only leave our factory after careful quality inspection.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Our DTH hammers use a process whereby compressed air is guided along the thread into a rotary hammer in the borehole. This compressed air then powers the hammering action of the drill and then is expelled again just above the base of the hole.

It tears the fragmented rock and transports it to the surface between the borehole wall and the drill pipe. The in-hole hammering method is a flush drilling method used on medium-hard, to very hard rocks. The advantage of this method is large drilling capacity at low cost.

GROUND WORK

WELL-DRILLING

GEOTHERMAL

Our rotary hammers are frequently used, both by private and commercial clients, either following damage, or in the construction of wells and geothermal plants

SLOPE REINFORCEMENT
AVALANCHE SAFEGUARDS

ROCKFALLS

With the expansion of transport networks, landslides and rockfalls are becoming increasingly common, meaning that safeguarding measures on embankments is growing in relevance.

MINING TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION

Reinforcing surfaces, intercepting rockfalls, preventing ingress of water, placing targeted explosions: These are daily expectations of our rotary hammer drills.

GRANITE DRILLING

This many layers of rock present a unique challenge to drill bits. Whether in quarries, tunnel construction, or underground, you can reliably achieve your desired results with our DTH hammers.
